Am searching for any information on my ggrandmother, Anna Hofmann, b. 4Jan1841 in Monchhof, Austria, aka Baratfalu, Hungary. Her father was Michael, no info, mar. Magdalena Krenn, no info. Any help greatly appreciated.I have no idea where Michael or Magdalena were from or anything about them. Thanks.

Do you have any original birth certificates, bibles, recipe books etc? Some might have some information linking person to place and back. Incidently, if you come up with the general direction "Home" let me know, the Americans are already lined up to get paid out on any potential inheritances ahead of me, as usual! P.S. how do you call the Americans who killed people and took on their names and identities?

Is Hofmann Anna's maiden name or married name. My g-g-grnadmother was Anna Fels Hofmann and she and her husband were from Orastie (Broos)(Sczszvaros) Transylvania which was Austria-Hungary at the time and is now Romania. The fighting and changes makes tracking hard.
