Millie Walker Lytle Hoffman
(April 10, 1926 - January 24, 2009)
Millie Walker Lytle Hoffman, age 82, passed away, Saturday, January 24 at the Brian Center in Spruce Pine.
A native of McDowell County, she was born April 10, 1926 to the late George Lorenz Walker and Bertha Cornelia Langley Walker. She was a member of the Central Baptist Church of Spruce Pine and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. In addition to her mother and father she was preceded in death by a son Bill Lytle, Jr., grandchildren Bill Lytle III, LeAnn Lytle and husband Bill Lytle.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband Belton P. Hoffman of Spruce Pine; three children: Ray Lytle and wife Lynn, of Fort Mill, SC, Donnie Lytle of Chattanooga, TN, and Nancy Robertson and husband Malcolm of Greer, SC; two sisters, Hazel Davis of Marion and Betty Benner of Greensboro; a number of grand and great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at 10:00 AM in Westmoreland Chapel with Rev. Jim Sutton officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:00-10:00 AM one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Central Baptist Church of Spruce Pine, PO Box 727, Spruce Pine, NC 28777.
