My husband is related to you, but distantly. He is related through Nola's paternal grandmother, Matilda, then through Matilda's mother, the Anderson connection. You've probably figured out most of this already, but I'd be happy to send you the Anderson & Derenberger info that I have.

I'd also like to ask you a couple questions.

Thank you,
Laura

Dear Tom,
Your mother, Norma Jean, and my Dad, Fred Weems, are first cousins. Uncle Ernie Hofawger (your Grandfather) was the grandson of Samuel Lodwick Boone, a preacher in the Church of the Brethren (Dunker). I have lots of information about him, and photographs. This Boone family was descended from the German Johann Diehl Bohn (Boone) line, not the Daniel Boone family. I'm still always looking for anything new on the Hofawger lineage, and I have information on the Martha Wills Hofawger line to share with anyone who is interested.

Sharon Weems George

Hofawger

My grandfather was Enrest and he came from the Virginias. The history has been documented by a cousin. The family tree leads to Mary Boone, cousin to Daniel and ends with this generation. Those who were able to have children and could pass on the family name have chosen vasectomy. The females, like my mother married into other families. The family name should unfortunatly end. If you desire current family info, I know the where abouts of the Great Grand parents graves who died in the 1940's approx. I also have a family tree. There has been a family renunion in Virginia each year at the Hofawger historical home which is a historic site in I believe Raleigh. I never made it nor did my mother Norma.

My grandfather spoke of his grandfather who was a Duncan preacher, which I gather was a conservative group with the large flat brimmed hat. Children seen and not heard ect. and poor manners.

Tom
