I have kind of hit a brick wall on my Hoel Family. This is what I have so far:
Niels Julius Hoet - July 1866 - Oslo Norway married Lillian Irons, had kids, Frederick, Henry, Julius, Albert, Lawrence, and Lillian. He arrived abt 1886 and married 1888.

I have his father as Niels Svendsen Hoel and Mother Dina Syversen, No info on either one of them.

Anyone have any info on this line I would be interested in comparing notes as I am stuck at the moment.
