I have hit my proverbial "brick wall" and am hoping that someone on Ancestry might be able to provide some help or perhaps point me in the right direction.
According to the Mayflower Society......the lineage up to and including Edmund Hodges (1744 - 1805) and Rachael Godfrey (1748 - 1814) is confirmed. There is no doubt about that. Edmund Hodges and Rachael Godfrey are my 5th great-grand parents.
Where I am having trouble is finding definitive proof that Edmund + Rachael had a son - also named Edmund ( 1775 - 1828...my 4th great grand father) who in turn had a son Samuel ( 1810 - 1891 ... my 3rd great grand father). I have everything from Samuel down to myself and if I can provide proof of these 2 individuals, I can apply to the Mayflower Society for membership.
I am hoping that someone might have some definitive proof - currently I only have circumstantial proof.
