I'm trying to research the brother of my ancestor. His name was Thomas B. Hodges., son of Daniel and Abagail Hoyt Hodges. He married Mattie A. (Martha) Barker in 1864 in Lisbon, ME, and had two daughters, Gertrude E. and Florence P. I've found some references to the marriage being unhappy, and to them separating. Also, found some hints that he married again (possibly to Catherine?) having 4 sons, the youngest of which being born after Thomas' death. He died by having a chimney fall on him when he was helping someone in town demolish a building. My problem is that I can't find any proof of this supposed second marriage, nor can I find anything about the 2nd wife nor the possible children: Benton D., Marshal M., Jesse and Thomas except for the 1880 Census in Lewiston, ME. Can anyone give me any clues?
