I don't have a George Andrew, but do have Hodge links to Michigan & Canada.

William Hodge (B 1828, Southport, Lancs, England) had 2 wives & 7 children, one of them, George Thomas Hodge, emigrated to Ontario, Canada (first with wife, Elizabeth Blundell, returned when she got TB, married Arabella Tyrer after Elizabeth's death & went back to Canada). Elizabeth Blundell's brother, Miles, also emigrated to the same town (Stisted, Muskoka lakes) His son, James, married his cousin, Elizabeth Annie Hodge (George Thomas' daughter).

George Thomas had a lot of children, and there are many Hodges & Blundells from this line (plus various other names through marriage).

George Thomas' brother, Henry, married Sarah Evelyn Rimmer and had sons Wilfred Arnold & Norman. I don't know if the parents moved to the USA, but Wilfred & Norman did. Wilfred was in Ferndale/Detroit, Michigan with his wife, Ruby and at least one child (born abt 1922) in 1935, and Norman had moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico "for his wife's health" (source: Letters written to Uncle Ted Hodge in 1935).

I'm related to these families through William Hodge's brother, Edward, who is my GG grandfather.

The Hodges have been in the North Meols area of Lancashire, ENG since before 1381 (now known as Southport)... my own branch is still there and I have a lot of info on them since 1580.
