“—The many friends of Mr. and Mrs. G. T. HOBBS will deeply sympathize with them in the sad death of their little nine-day-old daughter, Bertha Lee, which took place at the home of its parents, No. 1508 Tenth avenue, at 11:30 o’clock yesterday morning. The funeral will take place at 9:30 o’clock this morning. Rev. J. W. SIMMONS will officiate. The interment will be at Clapp’s factory burying ground [north of Columbus in Muscogee County, Georgia].”

J. W. SIMMONS served the Broad Street Methodist Church (and perhaps others) in Columbus.
I am interested to learn the background and family connections of Bertha Lee’s parents – thanks. John in TX
