Perhaps he was a 20 year old unmarried "student scholastic" in Yorkshire in April 1911, living with his family at 54 Sheffield Road Wadsley Bridge Sheffield, Ecclesfield, Yorkshire, and if he was, he was born in Wadsley Bridge in late 1890 or early 1891, and if he was born in Wadsley Bridge then his birth was registered in Wortley Registration District, and if his birth was registered in that district between 1890 and 1892 then there are only two possible birth registrations for him, and they're both in the first quarter of 1891 :):) but presumably only one of them was for a mother with the forename Frances and a father with the forenames of John William who may have been a butcher in 1891.
His marriage certificate will also show his father's name and occupation.
He also had a 14 year old sister called Jessie.
Circumstantial, but it sounds like it might be him.
