I just went to the Bainbridge Cemetery where my great grandparents John Franklin born in 1896 died 1983 and his wife Caroline Elizabeth born in 1901 died 1968 were buried. John Franklin's parents were George Clifford born 1874 died 1941and Ellen N. Hipple born 1878 died 1965 also buried in Bainbridge. That is as far back as I am able to go. I also found a grave stone for Harrison Hipple born 2/10/1838 Died 2/20/1896 and his wife Lavina Hipple born 11/6/1843 Died 3/2/1912. I would like to see if there are any connections.

My gr grandfather was the only child of George and Ellen as far as I know which is unusual for that time. I think it is possible that Harrison might be the father of George Clifford.

There is a story in my family that the Hipple's owned almost all of the land in Bainbridge, PA. The story goes that there was a person making alcohol on the Hipple property without the knowlege of the owners and when he was caught, the land was seized by the government. If anyone can make any connection please contact me. I am eager to get past this road block in my search. Thanks
