Do you know Selena from the ancestry site? She has done a fair amount of research on the "Hines" family of monroe county Ohio..she heads up the yearly ancestry tree ...reunions..and gathers alot of information with the help of many family members. I think you would find her more informative than myself. I've been researching since my high school days of 67 and am still working on it...seems one cannot really ever finish this kind of a study...there is always something unusual or important to discover or I just like or enjoy studying it.

The Morgan side is on my father's side of the family tree. The Hines may or may not be your connection..you have to decide where your family was located..and go back with dates..and compare those dates and names..Your Sarah Elizabeth Hines is very possibly connected to my Daniel Hines somehow...in the 1850 Ohio census...you look for the date of the recording..and from there figure a birth date. Thomas Hines & Elizabeth Hines had a Sarah also...so there are other family members with similar names..so one has to be careful...location is very important along with the year of birth figuring..

I figured Thomas & Elizabeth had a son named Daniel..to have been born 1844 or 43..My Daniel's family was located in Kansas..funny thing..my Daniel's son, Frank was born in Spring Hill, Kansas. And the obituary says Daniel Hines who settled in Ardmore, Oklahoma

So the location monroe county, and the year 1850 are very important..in the search...along with Daniel Hines name as well as his brothers and sisters.

Try the census of monroe county, 1850...see about the time and people born...you can narrow it down.
