Does anyone know anything about a Hilton Family that lived in the NC/SC area. Family history on my great grandfather John Joseph Threat b. 12 Dec 1864 in SC married 2 Oct 1887 to Mary Rachel Penninger. John Joseph Threat died in Tokio/Nashville, Arkansas 17 Feb 1936 and is buried in the Ozan Cemetery just outside of Nashville, Arkansas.

Family history in stories passed down to John Joseph Threat's children and grandchildren....states....

That John Joseph Threat's parents died during the Civil War and he was raised in the family of cousins by the name of Hilton. Does this ring a bell with any Hilton families?
