I would like to know what Charlene Wilcox's relationship is to Hills. My great-great grandfather, Elliott Hill (he of OH?) who married Elizabeth May in KY, had my great-grandfather Gale Hill b. in/near St. Joe MO about 1854. While working as a stage coach guard on the run between Deadwood, SD and Sydney, Nebraska, he met my great-grandmother, Nettie Winn of Maine coming out in 1879 with her mother to be with her father, George Winn who had come out in 1877.

Gale and Nettie Hill had my grandmother, May Reed Hill who grew up to marry Orson Horton Wilcox in 1908 in Deadwood. He had come from Montevideo, Chippewa, MN to help his grandfather who had bought a Deadwood drugstore around 1902.

All my Wilcoxes were from MN where they settled after checking out IL and WI on their way west from Ticonderoga, Essex, NY. There are LOTS of Wilcoxes in NY around the 1810-1870 era, but none so far are mine. Are you?
