I am looking for the parents of my wife's maternal Grandfather, Robert Ismond Hill. I know that he was born 1880 in Port Huron, Michigan, but have no idea how long his family stayed there. I have found the record of his 1905 marriage to Madge Puffenbarger in Chicago. So far I have not been able to find him in any census before 1910, when he showed up in Brown County, South Dakota.
Any help would be appreciated.
