Elizabeth G. Hiles, 79, of Oberlin, Ohio, (Lorain County) died Monday, January 7, 2013, at Allen Mercy Hospital, after a short illness. She was born January 14, 1933 in Altoona, Pennsylvania.

Elizabeth worked as a clerk for the Pennsylvania Railroad for many years, retiring in 1995
. She enjoyed reading, puzzles, mystery novels, travel and cooking.

She is survived by her daughters, Theresa Mendenhall of Bremerton, Washington, Michella A. Hasbrook of Elyria, Ohio; sons, Alan Hiles of Columbia Station, OH, Michael Hiles of Elyria and Marvin Davis, Jr. of Bedford, Pennsylvania; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; brothers, Butch White of Johnstown, Pennsylvania and Lewis White of Altoona, Pennsylvania; and sisters, Margaret McCreary and Shirley White, both of Altoona, Pennsylvania.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph A. Hiles; son, Joseph Hiles; daughter, Mary Elizabeth Davis; parents, Ralph and Sarah White; two brothers and three sisters.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 10, 2013 from 6 until 8 P.M., at Cowling Funeral Home in Oberlin.
The funeral service will be Friday, January 11, 2013, 11 A.M., in the funeral home.

There will be a private family burial at a later date.
