I, too, am looking for the ancestry of Nicholas Hiles, father of William Milton Hiles, my husband's great-grandfather, married to Nancy Driscoll. We have heard there was a story written about William and his brother fleeing Missouri to get away from their mean step-father. Nancy remarried after the early death of Nicholas.
