hello Doreen, so glad to hear from you. this is David and the mail came to me. Susie and I have been hard at work the past weeks and have uncovered much useful info and are on the trail of more.
the best method the sharing would be by copying the papers and sending them by mail. i too can mess up email attachments. i have lots of photos as well as documents. i even found an old civil war medal which was in Jacob's war wallet and will have it identified, hopefully this week.

i am trying to identify when allen and each of the younger boys left IL for IA. this would help find when Buford left IL and supposedly went to NW iowa alone and went to high school. he graduated in 1924, age approaching 20.
