I know this is awhile after you posted this thread. Jacqui, I sent you a personal message. Daniel Hicks was my gg grandfather. Through DNA testing, we have found a match to a Daniel Hicks from Berks Co, PA. His father's name was Joseph and mother's name was Sarah Spatz. Daniel had a family that he left in PA, a wife named Katie Potteiger, a son, Wayne Daniel, and a daughter, Gertrude. I would love to have contact with any other members of the Hicks family, as there is still a lot of information that is unknown.
