I also descend from Richard Henry Hicks and Myra Lewis Simmons. I was able to visit Oakland Cemetery and the Arrowood Baptist Church cemetery in and near Gaffney, SC, recently to see Berryman's and also Duke Wellington Hicks (Sr.) headstones.

Please include me among the persons who would love to see transcriptions of the letters you mention. Have you uploaded any of those?
