Dr. Claud Hickel, a pharmacist, married Edith Claytor of Jodi, WV. They had three children: Claud Jr., Eloise, and George. During Claude and Edith's divorce, Claude had Edith unjustly committed into a mental institution. During this time, George and Claud were put up for adoption, and Eloise, a deaf-mute, was placed in a school for the deaf. Edith was later proven sane and released, but George, my grandfather, had been adopted by the Williams family.

Unfortunately, that's about all I have on Claud Hickel. I've requested some records on him from SSA, which should hopefully tell me who is parents were. Until then, I don't have a lot to go on.
