My great-grandfather was Cecil Mershon (b. Oct. 17, 1912 in Rarden, Ohio; d. Feb. 2004 in Portsmouth, Ohio), who married Ellen Louise Ross (b. Jan. 28, 1912 in Fullerton, Kentucky; d. Feb. 2004 in Portsmouth, Ohio) on Dec. 8, 1935.
My second great grandfather was Walter F. Mershon (Jan. 4, 1876 in Pond Creek; d. Nov. 6, 1918 in McDermott, Ohio), who married Barbara May Steppe (b. Nov. 22, 1886 in Portsmouth, Ohio; d. Jun. 28, 1973 in Portsmouth, Ohio) on Oct. 14, 1910.
My third great grandfather was David Harsha Mershon (b. Dec. 24, 1845 in Scioto County, Ohio; d. Mar 13, 1902 in Scioto County, Ohio) on Oct. 1, 1868 in Scioto County, Ohio.
My fourth great grandfather was Henry Mershon, Jr. (b. Sep 27, 1818 in Adams County, Ohio; d. May 5, 1894 in Scioto County, Ohio), who married Elzabeth Holt (b. Nov 22, 1818 in Virginia; d. Sep 10, 1875 in Scioto County, Ohio) on Jul. 9, 1840.
My fifth great grandfather was Henry Mershon (b. Nov. 12, 1787 in Hopewell, New Jersey; d. 1860 in Ohio), who married Cassandra Hibbs (b. abt. 1800 in Pennsylvania; d. aft. 1827 in Scioto County, Ohio) in 1817 in Ohio.
My sixth great grandfather was Aaron Hibbs (b. abt 1766 in Loundoun County, Virginia; d. June, 1852 in Adams County, Ohio), who married Catherine Craft (b. 1770 in Frederick, Maryland; d. Oct. 1846 in Adams County, Ohio) on Sep. 3, 1782 in Greene Co., Pennsylvania.
My seventh great grandfather was Jacob Hibbs (b. 1735 in Byberry, Greene County, Pennsylvania; d. abt 1796 in Greene County, Pennsylvania), who married Elizabeth Lacy (b. 1737 in Bucks County, Pennsylvania) on May 1, 1760 in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
My eighth great grandfather was Joseph Hibbs (b. Abt 1688 in Byberry, Greene County, Pennsylvania; d. Mar 22, 1762 in Plumstead Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania), who married Rachel Waring (b. 1692; d. 1740) in 1711 in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
My ninth great grandfather was William Hibbs (b. Jan. 23, 1664/5 in Gloucester, England; d. Mar. 5, 1710/1 in Byberry Township, Philidelphia County, Pennsylvania), who married Hannah Houl (b. abt 1667 in England; d. Aug. 1737 in Philidelphia County, Pennsylvania) on Dec. 2, 1686 in Pennsylvania Colony.
My tenth great grandfather is William Hibbs (b. 1630 in Dean Forest, Gloucester, England; d. Mar. 6 1685/6 in Gloucester, England), who married Joanne (b. abt 1635 in Gloucestershire, England; d. England).
This is as far back as I have gotten on the Hibbs side of my family. I have some information about the siblings of each of these; however any information would be greatly appreciated.
