Lydia Hewitt, who was born in Eccles in 1811 according to the 1851 census married William Grundy in Eccles, Lancashire in 1835. They had a number of children including starting with Ann in 1836, Martha, Mary, William, Thomas, Sarah and Robert 1854. Lydia died in 1859.
