In 1820 Census, Spartanburg
The names appear as follows:
James Hewatt was listed about two names below Archibald McCreavy, who married Jane Cathcart, the sister of his wife, Mary Cathcart Hewatt.
About 10 or so names above Archibald McCreavy was SETH CLARK, husband of Martha Cathcart, the sister of Mary Cathcart Hewatt.
About halfway between the names Seth Clark and Archibald McCreavy was John HINDMAN, who was the father of James Hindman who married Sarah Cathcart, sister of Mary Cathcart Hewatt.

In 1837 James Allen wrote his will in Abbeville, SC, he left his son, Robert H Allen land in Cobb County, Georgia.
Robert H. Allen married Maranda Carroll in Hall Co.
Nimrod Cox married Keziah Carroll in Hall Co.
John Cox m. Cassey Hewitt
The Allens and Cox families lived nearby the Hewitt family in Gordon County, GA.
Evidently, there was some kind of connection between the Allen family and the Cathcart family because the land left to Robert H Allen may have been given to or purchased by a relative. Three Cathcart daughters moved to Cobb County, Georgia.

An interesting connection to the Hewitt family is this:
James Hewitt's son, William B. Hewitt, married Susan Clark, who some say was adopted by Seth Clark and his wife, Martha Cathcart Clark, the sister of Mary Cathcart Hewitt, who d. aft. 1820 in Spartanburg, SC.

Seth Clark and Martha Cathcart Clark moved to Cobb County, Georgia.
They appear in the 1850 Census, Cobb County, Oregon Dist., Georgia.
They were living approximately six miles from Sarah Cathcart Hindman and James Hindman.
Living with them were Martha Grist b. 1816, and her two children....Julia age 2 and Sarah E age 1....Martha Grist was the daughter of Anna Cathcart and Benjamin Grist and niece of Sarah Cathcart Hindman, Martha Cathcart Clark, and Mary Cathcart Hewitt/Hewatt.

Sarah Cathcart Hindman and James Hindman d. in Campbell County, Georgia.
Nancy Cathcart Foster and Fielding Foster moved to Georgia. They lived in Campbell County at one time, and that is probably where Nancy died aft. 1850, but Fielding Foster died in Fulton County, Georgia. (Campbell County no longer exists. The area is located South-West of Atlanta, Fulton County.)
