I read your message re: adolph , I have info on the hetebrugges. another way to spell the name is --hettebrugge. My father ( walter west) was raised by anna & emil hettebrugge. these hetebrugges are all related. If you go to ellis island.org , it's (free) you will find info. they all came from denmark. In fact, Adolf age 22,arrived 1901, Emil, age 41,& Anna ,age 35 were married & arrived 1906, also a Grace age 13 came with them in 1906 to USA. Emil & Anna, took care of my father (walter West) age 4 and his sister (Judy West) age 6 ,in Duluth,Minnisota. Emil owned property and was a butcher for black & tobins. If you look on a map you will see that, right over the river in Douglas county, Wisconsin is where Adolph ,lived and had his family. -- Emil & Anna hettebrugge moved with my Dad & aunt to Stowe, Vermont and raised them there. Emil died in 1937in Vermont, and Anna moved down to NY,to be with my Mom & Dad, untill she died a few years later. My father(Walter west) lost his parents at 3 years old,and I was happy that they took care of him. That's why I did all the research. I just had to know about them. I didn't know the Hettebrugges, they died before I was even born. I hope this info will help you find out about your family. E-mail me if you know anything else. patricia
