To whom it may concern,
I am an amateur historian living in Mahwah, NJ and formerly of Brooklyn. I am interested in a Cynthia Moore Hesdra who is buried in the Fisher Road Cemetery in Mahwah, NJ. Although the Hesdras owned property in NYC, Nyack, NY, and Bergen County, NJ Cynthia was buried at the named private, abandoned cemetery in Mahwah, NJ.
I am trying to determine if there still is a trust to maintain her plot, and how it came to be that she was buried in Mahwah, NJ.
I am also interested in her husband's part in the amassing of their fortune. There is an African-American professor who discounts his part in the business success of that marriage. I am probably biased in that being Jewish I find it hard to believe that the major contribution to their success could not have come from the husband.
