The Hersey Family began their extention into Pennsylvania around 1800. Benjamin Hersey and wife Sarah (McAntire)Hersey moved from Mill Creek Hundred, DE into York County. My connection list goes as follows, Benjamin Hersey - Solomon Hersey - Francis Asbury Hersey - Samuel Gantz Hersey - Gertrude Sophia (Hersey) Dellinger.
The Hesey Family located at mill Creek hundred, DE were fairly well-to-do and owned Mills and Hotel plus a Tavern. In Pennsylvania they became farmers and worked a nice farm in Hopewell Twsp, York County, PA until the 1950's.
