I am about to give up on finding info on a HENRY HERSEYwho married JULIA GREY/GRAY. Their son is CHARLES ERNEST HERSEYwho was born 1876 in VT and died 1919 in VT from silicosis of the lungs from being a stonecutter. This is my great grandafther and his parents!! This is all I know of my Hersey relatives and I would like very much to know more, and if any of you out there are 'kinfolk' too! If you have accesst to any records from VT esp. Barre VT from say 1860 or so, could you please do a look up for me???? Thanks sooooo much!

I am wondering if this line traces back to the immigrant William Hersey who lived in Hingham 1635. I would be delighted to know any additional information you may have.

Hi Steve,his is Wendy Lewis, g granddaughter of Charles Ernest Hersey. I have addtl. info on him. My cousin, Chuck Hersey, and his sister went to Barre, Vt on a fact finding mission into finding his parents records, Henry Hersey and Julia or (Adelia) Grey. They had no success at all with that, but they did find birth certificates for a set of male twins born to Charles Ernest (b1876, VT) and Sarah E. (b CAN, 1878 nee-Tracy) Hersey (Bessie). The twins were born in 1915, and both died within weeks, being premature. One died too soon to be named, but the other was named ARTHUR ROYAL Hersey. I am trying to find any Hersey's with either of those names or possibly Grey's with the name(s), to try to find some sort of connection.
