I am searching for information on this family. Alexander is my husbands gr-grandfather. He was b. 1845 in Lexrotp, Perth and d. 5 Jun 1898 in Edinburgh. He m. 1. Christina Smith Scott in 1878 in Portobella. She d. sometime bef 6 Apr 1891 and he married my husbands' gr-grandmother, Katharina in 1891. Katharina was b. 1862 in Stirling, Scotland, the dau of Lambert Hepting (founder of Hepting & Ferrar Jewlers) and his wife Mary Campbell Mitchell McLachlan.

Alexander & Katharina had 2 daughter's Katharina Hepting Moir b. 1895 in Edinburgh and d. 1975 in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. She married Arthur Gray. They had no children. Winifred Jamieson Moir was b. 1897 in Edinburgh and d. 1985 in Seattle, Washington. She married Edward Jones in 1920 and they had 3 children.

After Alexander's death, Katharina moved her family from Edinburgh, Scotland to Victoria, BC, Canada. They came over on the ship Athenia.

Any information on the backgrounds of this family would be appreciated. Also, any information on the descendants of the children from Alexander's first marriage.
