Henry Hepting, born in Lipton, Saskatchewan on November 9th, 1907, passed away in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan on Monday, January 30th, 2006. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 3rd, 2006 at 1:30 p.m. in Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 15 Paul Dr., Moose Jaw. Pastor John Kreutzwieser will officiate with burial to follow the service in Rosedale Cemetery. Henry was predeceased by his wife Elizabeth Margaret (nee Easson), parents Wilhelm and Theresia Hepting, his brothers Frederick, George, Wilhelm, John and Philip and his sisters Maria and Elizabeth. He is survived by his sister-inlaw Augusta Hepting of Regina, as well as by several nieces and nephews. Henry received his education at Lipton and area schools, Regina Normal School, and the University of Saskatchewan. He taught at various rural schools, as well as at Dysart and later at Moose Jaw A.E. Peacock Collegiate. During the war, he was an instructor in the Pre-Entry Aircrew School in Regina, and the War Emergency and Vocational Training in Electronics in Moose Jaw. He was an active member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church. He spent his final years at Chez-Nous Senior Citizens' Home in Moose Jaw. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be forwarded to Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 15 Paul Dr., Moose Jaw, SK S6H 4R3, or the charity of one's choice.
