Thanks for the information. I have read an online version of that book. Very interesting. I started researching the Williamsport Hepburns trying to find that link With the Curwensville Hepburns and found that book very helpful. I thought if I looked into the more documented Williamsport Hepburns I'd find more on the Curwensville Hepburns. My father always felt ther was a link as William who went to Curwensville stopped for a couple of years in Williamsport before heading out to Curwensville.
I do believe I've found a link much farther back and where the Curwensville Hepburn line may have branched (see my other post). I was pointed to a source on the Irish Times website by a man in Scotland who is familiar with the Hepburns. From that tip I discovered a book I'm reading now called The Scotch-Irish in America which was written in 1915. It is available in a PDF document on the Irish Times website.
