My mother was Birdie Hensley, who was the daughter of Matthias Harvey (MH) Hensley, who was the son of Isom Esau Hensley,who was the son of Samuel Hensley and Catherine McDavid who married in Scott county Virginia around 1815. the is th farthest i have gone back, i have some info with same name familiarities thur several different links but somehow have not made the connections. I have found several Dezarn connections. As with the McDavids, i have several Hensleys who married these family members ,several sisters married these Hensley men. I would really love to find out more i have a lot of family sheets on a lot of different Hensleys including the N.C. ,Hensley settlement, and cherokee Hensleys but not much on the virginia ones
