BUCYRUS: Anna "Louie" Massie-Carman, 76 years of age, of 3400 ST RT 98, Bucyrus, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 9, 2010 at MedCentral Hospital, Mansfield, Ohio she had been in declining health for the past several years.
Anna was born September 2, 1933 in Richwood, Ohio to the late Francis and Mildred (Wilson) Hendrickson.
Anna married Carroll Massie on January 28, 1952 and he preceded her in death on January 8, 1991. On February 21, 1998 she married Glenn Carman who survives.
In addition to her parents and first husband, she was preceded in death by daughter, Brenda Massie; granddaughter, Jennifer Renee Briggs; three sisters, Ruthie Rouse, Hazel Evans, and Ruby Dowell; as well as two brothers, Ed Hendrickson and Donnie Hendrickson.
In addition to Anna's husband Glenn, she is survived by seven children, Curt (Jean) Massie, Sycamore, Debbie Briggs, Bucyrus, Roger (Pearl) Massie, Nevada, Tina (Dan) Bloomfield, Bucyrus, Ohio; Pennee (Brian) Coffman of Lykens, Jeff Massie of Tiro, and Mark Massie of Bucyrus; two step children, Daniel (Sonya) Carman of Tiro, and Stephen Carman of Willard, Ohio; 24 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; two sisters, Dorothy Deaver of Marion, Ohio and Jeannie (Harold) Smith of Richwood, Ohio; numerous nieces and nephews; and lifelong special friends, Bessie Delaney of Florida, and Ethel Arthur of Bucyrus.
Mrs. Carman was a homemaker and worked in home health care for many years. She lived most of her life in this area, regularly attended Kaler Ave Church of Christ in Christian Union, enjoyed crocheting, sewing, garage sales, collecting bells and bears and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Calling hours will be Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be Tuesday April 13, 2010 at 11 a.m. in the Church of Christ in Christian Union with Pastor Bob Jividen officiating.
