Hello, We are looking for a female line sample of MTDNA from John Hembree's wife Martha A. Mathis Hembree. We are wantign to prove whether or not, Mary Golightly Mathis was a Cherokee Indian. My family line is through Lizannah Mathis Ledgerwood and the MTDNA sample origin was Scotland. This is by far... not what we have been told all our lives. So we are needing a direct female line back to Martha. Although the one that gives the sample can be a male, his line back to Martha must be all female. Thanks John Campbell
