I saw your post from all the way back in 1999 about your great grandfather Simon Helmer up in the Yaak. I am part of a non profit called Camp Patriot and we recently bought your great grandfather's old homestead. We also recently found his marked grave site. I was trying to attach a picture but can't figure it out how to do it yet. We also have pictures of your great grandpa's original home that is still standing which is attached. Your great grandfather built a tower on top of the house ostensibly for your great grandmother is what we have been told. She wanted to be able to see the lake and
out onto the property is what we hear.

In the picture is your Great grandfather Simon Helmer I believe inside the steeple and Mr. Brightenstein is on the outside. Mr. Brightenstein's son who still lives on the Yaak gave us a copy of the picture. His dad helped Mr. Helmer build from time to time
