Alyssa,

I couldn't help but notice your posting....I have been looking for information on Ada Hodges myself....Ada married a Hines...but the name had been spelled differently from what my grandmother had said).

Daniel & Ada (Hodges) Hines were my great-grandparents who lived in Ardmore, Oklahoma the later part of their years...He was from Monroe county, Ohio...where she was from I do not know..(my mother looked alot like Ada in her facial features..have pictures).. Daniel worked in the lumber mill in Ok....Ada was a beauty-operator...they were one of the earliest settlers of the area...

What is your connection to the Heinz? (or Hines?)...grandmother said when they came over from the old country...is how she put it to us...there was an aruement...and then a split in the family....one family moved away..others stayed and settled...the spelling is the mystery...something about dropping a letter and adding??

I know the spelling seems quite vague information... but it could be important when trying to research ONES ANCESTORS, ya know???

What do you think? Any leads...or questions..feel free to ask me...I will try to help...there are some good sites to research...even if we aren't related?
