I am a descendent of Cornelius Hedges (b. 10-28-1831
d. 4-29-1907) who married Edna Layette Smith. His father was Dennis Hedges who married Alvena Noble. I have some missing genealogy information about this line. Cornelius is a bit famous in Montana (Senator, help found Yellowstone park...) but his genealogy information is somewhat lacking, at least from what I've culled on the internet. I haven't yet traveled to MT to do hard research. If anyone has any information about MT hedges or Cornelius please contact me.

My side of the Hedges line spent alot of time in Montana.My grandfather Ralph Reeves Hedges and his brother Harold were born in Chinook Mt in 1904-5.His father Isaac had brothers George,Solomon and Warren who also lived in Mt. They traveled alot between Kansas Montana and California with Kansas being the home place were there parants settled after coming from Ohio.Dont think Cornelius was part of this line.

It is entirely possible there is some relation. Cornelius died in Montana in 1907. He also had family in Ohio and I believe lived there for a time. I'll look into it.

Two of Cornelius' grandparents were Jacob Noble and Eunice Moseley, both of Westfield, MA. Great-grandparents were Jacob Noble and Hannah Sackett, also of Westfield
