We have a Michael Hedderman who immigrated from Ireland to Brady's Bend,Armstrong county in Pennsylvania USA. On the 1880 US Census, his name was HEIDERMAN(which was probably a transcription error and was changed to Hedderman in the 1900 Census.
His wife's name was Catherine, she was also from Ireland. Their son Michael Hedderman married Mary McGee of 38th Street in Lawrenceville, Pittsburgh, PA. Michael and Mary McGee had many children and stayed in Lawrenceville. A few of their boys left to go to the northern counties during Pennsylvania's Oil Rush. Some even crossed the boarder to work in Canada. Most of them came back to Pittsburgh to work in the Steel Mills and Railroad. Leo Hedderman stayed in East Brady for a while before WWI to work in a coal mine.He lived with his uncle John Hedderman at that time. (per his WWI draft registration card of 1918
