I am trying to do this correctly. Yes, Emmanuel in my line was married to MS Brun. The Emmanuel got shortened to Manuel. Hebert dit Manuel. I hope I'm still in the same ballpark so to speak. Louise Manuel married Joseph Louis or Louis Joseph Menard.

I just finished my tree and I think:

Theodore Hebert- father "Fabien Hebert"& mother "Gertrude Bourgeois"
Antoinette Roy- father "Pierre Roy" & mother "Domithilde Caissie"

The list of children is missing my grand-father Henri Hebert.

Theodore & Antoinette's children are: Aime b.1860 and 5 yrs later they had another and named Aime b. 1865, Marie-Blanche,Crescence,Andre,Euphemie,Madeleine,Adele,Emilie,Julie,Henri & Theophile.

Some of the names that are listed from you and not on my list are children of Pierre(brother).

Like most of the founding Acadians we have very incomplete records. Their parents are unknown. We "know" they are brothers because of dispensation to marry between their descendants See Stephen A White's Dictionnaire Genealogique des Familles Acadiennes 1st edition v 2 p 799 for the details.

We know they were in Acadie by 1648 from ages of their children. Maybe(?)they were in the 1640 groups. Then they married late?

Marie Daigle/Daigre is a common name.

You might want to switch to the Daigle board, share what you have on her (especially year & Location)& ask for details & sources.

I haven't been able to get further back than his parents' marriage -- his Hebert grandparents' marriage doesn't seem to be showing up in the Drouin images index, so I have no idea where this line goes. I just saw that it was information that I could find pretty easily since you knew an approximate date of birth and a location, and I did find it. :o)

This one might come under my family line of Joseph and Francois Hebert of Evangeline and Rapides parish in Louisiana. Forest Lawn Cemetery, add maybe Georgetown
cemetery may have some of the family. There were different
spellings of the name. Also, some of brothers had a falling
out, and took of the H, or took Ebar as the name. I am still
trying to find all the family members. I am hearing impaired
and use my e-mail to do my talking.

I am looking for the Hebert/Abare Family. I have gotton stuck at the begining. My Great Granfather Was John J Abare. He was born in Clarenceville, Provene of Quebec, Canada. His wifes mane waw Elmira Thibault/Abare. I have a Border crossing record for John in 1919 to At Albans Vermont with a passanger named Rose. John was born July 18th 1894 or 95. I would be most greatful for any help or suggestions you may have to offer.

Dozlin appears to be a phonetic spelling.

The only Dozlin Hebert in Hebert's Southwest records married a Cormier about 1877.

I coud not find in Census, WWI draft registrition or Soc Sec Death Index.

Did they move to Texas? who was spouse? Where did they live in LA & Tx?

I am not sure but you can bet tomorrow I will be on the phone with a member of his family checking facts.... Drosin has similar facts but like I said I am not sure... AT this point I believe I know more about my husband's ancestors than he does! LoL sad huh?

This is a relative of my husband. I know the name is correct because I got it from his Grandmother's obituary from February 2008. I believe he was born in 1896 in Louisiana. If anyone has any information they could give me about him I would appreciate it. This is the furthest I have gotten on my husband's side of the family and I greatly want to be able to show my kids where they come from.

The name that was stated for his spouse was Eva Rodriguez. I am pretty sure based off what I have about my husband's grandmother that they lived in Orange and Port Author, TX.

I have just discovered that two of your names are in my family. I have a John A. Lalane coming from St.Domingo to New York where he had John A. Jr. and Peter Boutain Lalane. They all moved to Charleston, S.C. where I believe Peter married a Juliette Gueveneur. So far I do not know the name of John A. Sr.'s wife. I hope you are still reading your posts as I would love to get more info.

I believe I my have made an error on where my Grandfather lived. My Father was born in New Iberia, however Hebert his biological Father, was from Franklin LA. My Father's first name was Adolph. This is all I know.

My Grandmother told me that my Father's biological Father (My Grandfather) last name is Hebert. My Father was from Louisiana. My Father's Mom was African American. My Father's Father (Hebert) was a Cajun from the New Iberia area.

Remy Hebert - Marriage information - St Martim Parish

I am looking for information on Remy Hebert (B: 10/1/1900, D: 10/16/1940) - his death certificate lists him as a widower however nobody in our family knew he was previously married.

He is listed as single oil worker living with his parents in the 1930 census so we suspect the marriage was sometime after 1930.

He lived in and died in Breaux Bridge, St. Martin parish.

My ex-husband's family was from Louisiana, their family name is Hebert. I think they were from Gueydan, Louisiana, and they moved to the San Francisco area sometime in the mid-20th century (1930s-1940s?). I think they still have family in Louisiana. Good luck!
