George,
The information provided by your responder was excellent. Hi. Are you still working on Hebert geneology? This post is from 2004. My great Aunt Marylou sent me a bunch of papers that Great Aunt Phyllis had and she isn't messing with it anymore....just wondering if you were interested. Not even sure what they are exactly!
Marla Hebert Washburn

I hope I'm still in the same ballpark so to speak. Louise Manuel married Joseph Louis or Louis Joseph Menard.

Emily

June

We have both a board and a list. there is a one way connection from the board to the list. When you want to reply follow the link to the board so everyone may see your post.

Like most of the founding Acadians we have very incomplete records. Their parents are unknown. We "know" they are brothers because of dispensation to marry between their descendants See Stephen A White's Dictionnaire Genealogique des Familles Acadiennes 1st edition v 2 p 799 for the details.

We know they were in Acadie by 1648 from ages of their children. Maybe(?)they were in the 1640 groups. Then they married late?

Paul Le B(lanc)
l'Ascension
Louisiane

-----Original Message-----
From: June Hebert
My husband's family all came from Canada our info' has his family from Antoine but lists his brother as Etienne. Forest Lawn Cemetery, add maybe Georgetown
cemetery may have some of the family. There were different
spellings of the name. Also, some of brothers had a falling
out, and took of the H, or took Ebar as the name. I am still
trying to find all the family members.
HI,
My ex-husband's family was from Louisiana, their family name is Hebert. I think they were from Gueydan, Louisiana, and they moved to the San Francisco area sometime in the mid-20th century (1930s-1940s?). I think they still have family in Louisiana. Good luck!

I happened to be on this site and saw your post. Donald Hebert died in 1993. My grandfather Guy Hebert was Donald's brother. Donald was my great-uncle.
