Hi. In reviewing my earlier post, something on my part seems missing. I found an E-mail to the genealogist from whom I received the documents mentioned in my earlier post which answers your current question:

"I am really curious about the Francis Murray mentioned in several of the 1777 and 1819 documents from you. One document dated 3/13/1819 relates to an account given to Sheriff Matthew Murray in 1816 for collection against Thomas Ayers; the name Francis Murray appears last. Is that supposed to be a signature by Francis Murray or a collection for him (his estate)? My ancestral uncle Francis Murray died on 11/30/1816 yet had an adopted son Francis Heaton Murray (called Joseph by his mother Patience Heaton) in Bucks County, PA. http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~wynkoop/webdocs/fmu... I previously obtained a copy of a document Settlement Estate of Francis Murray Esquire late of Newtown decd. Made as of 1 April 1824 showing that probate continued that long."
