Solomon Heath - 11th Brigade North Carolina Militia War of 1812

Surnames: Heath
Trying to pinpoint the geographical area of the 11th Brigade of the North Carolina Militia heading into the War of 1812.

By an act of the 1806 NC legislature, each county was to form a regiment of militia. Each regiment would be comprised of 2 battalions. Each battalion would be comprised of 5 companies. Each company comprised of 54 men.

All the regiments within a superior court district would then form a brigade. Divisions would be comprised of 2-3 brigades.

In June 1812, there were 16 Brigades combined into 6 Divisions.

Solomon is listed in the North Carolina muster rolls of the War of 1812 as being in the 6th Company, First Regiment of Riflemen, detached from the 11th Brigade (North Carolina Militia).

But what I cannot seem to find, is the geographical area (county) or judicial district that the 11th Brigade is from.

Any leads/info will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Ted Heath
