A group of us with the Hazel surname in the US have been trying to link our families and research together. We have started a DNA study and with 6 samples so far and more to come have found two distinct groups. One group is from the Axbridge/Bristol/Barbados/St Marys County, MD descent. We would like to find some English or Barbados Hassells who are willing to take the test. They have to be male descendants with the Hassell name. The test kit can be mailed to you and is a simple cotton swab in the mouth (no pain!) The cost is $99. If you cannot afford to pay members of our group would be willing to pay in order to establish a connection. If you are a male Hassell and are willing to participate please let me know.
