1782 Estate of Abraham Collett in Washington Co., TN:
Abraham COLLETT d. intestate, leaving tracks of first wife Uly/Ulah and second wife/widow Mary. Major shares of his estate taken by ANDREW HAINS (as spelled) and Moses LANGLEY. (Plus a bunch of Colletts and a John Nave)
Moses Langley migrated to GA, but was in Callaway Co., MO, by 1817. He died there in 1819, leaving among his other children -- a son Collett Langley and a daughter Uley Langley.
Daughter Uley Langley married a man named COLLETT HAYNES. There was another son, James Langley, who md. Matilda Haynes.
Might be worth your time to study this if you've got appropriate HAYNES troubles. Would also like to note that there are several Collett/Haines earlier marriages up in Frederick/Berkeley Cos., VA, which would further tie these families together.
I would like to trade info with any Haynes researchers of Washington/jGreene Cos., TN ... or wherever they next move after 1782.
