HI! My father's family have lived in the southeastern part of Virginia for over a century but I have been unable to find out where they were before that. The Hayes name started as Hay, then changed to Hays, on to the present version. If you have any info about where I might find this information, I would greatly appreciate it. I am still learning my way around the internet and websites. Also we have had a family reunion for the past 4 yrs. in Wise County, VA. Thanks.
