Richard B immigrated to NZ from London in 1853. His father & grandfather (William) were coal merchants in the Fleet Street area.

What is your Haybittle connection?

Kind regards,

Amelia

Haybittle/Peat/Coward

Does anyone have information about Jessie May Haybittle b.1886 Reigate, her mother was Sarah (Coward) Haybittle b.1852, Jessie was married 1912 in Canada to Edward James Peat b.1883 in Reigate, Surrey son of John & Hannah (Woodhouse) Peat. Jessie passed away 1913/14 and her mother died 1926 in Cobalt, Ontario, Edward James Peat was named on her death certificate as the informant, it suggest that Edward was still living in Canada and may have remarried. Edward James Peat would have been my mother's cousin. Any help please?? Wynne

I have just read about Henry Haybittle and wonder if there can be any contection with my maternal grandmother. My mother knows nothing about her grandparents and I wondered if she could be one of the children of the Haybittles that ended up in Reigate workhouse. She married and lived in Reigate

I am glad to see that the Haybittle have arrived.
My ggg grandmother was ELIZABETH HAYBITTLE 182. She came from Ashurst near Henfield in Sussex and married ? DALE, after her first husband THOMAS BROWNING died. She lived, I understand to a a great age. It is a pity that they ended up in the workhouse.

I wonder is there any connection with your lot as Capel is not to far from Henfield.

Love to here from you all
Cáit
