I have a copy of the Haught family history that was written in the 1970s(?). I am trying to update it, so any info on your line would be appreciated.
My book says that ...
Peter Haught I was born in Rotterdam, Holland. He grew up there and in 1747 married his first wife (name unknown). They and their daughter, Elizabeth, came to America on the ship "Patience", which landed in Philadelphia on Sept. 9, 1751. They moved to Moorefield, Hardy County, WVA before 1755. This was then known as South Branch Virginia. About 1760, two indentured servants' services were purchased (Richard Tennant and Rosanna Mouse). Richard Tennant married Peter I's daughter Elizabeth. Peter and his first wife also had a son Peter II.
He and his second wife, Rebecca Tennant, had sons Jacob Henry, Tobias and Joseph.
I don't know if we can search for the ship the Patience and see if his first wife's name is on the ship's list or maybe we could find a record of their marriage in Rotterdam. He is as far back as this book goes. Hope this was of some help.
