I've found out some things since last time I posted here.

The early family did write the surname as Hasting.

Solomon and Susanna (Starkey) Hasting did die in Pike County and are buried in Stewart cemetery. If you search for them on findagrave.com you will find them.

I have Solomon's will. It does not have much information. He left everything to a granddaughter.
