John Hassett b. Ireland c.1803-1806 m. Catharine Batterby, b. Ireland c.1800. Children Ellen b.1836 Ireland (updated per cemetary monument), Mary b.3Aug1841 Ireland, John Jr. b.1843 Ireland, US Civil Was soldier, disabled, Catherine b.Ireland 1847. Emigrated from Dublin.

There was a family of similar kids' names baptized in St. Andrews Parish, Dublin, but not enough info for positive link. Someone felt my Mary was b.Limerick but limited info for link. I have an extensive list of Hassett & Batter(s)by baptized in Dublin in correct time frame to believe Dublin a possibility.

Poss.- Baptism of John Hassett, on 28 Jan 1808 b. 25 Jan 1808 (a little late?) St. Catherine Parish, Dublin, father John Hassett, mother Bridgt Drumgoole, sponsors Pat Hassett, Lucia Byrne.

This is a Protestant cemetery. My Hassett family buried in RC cemetery except my gg-grandmother Mary who married Protestant.

I have a picture of gg-grandmother Mary Hassett my sister sent me.
