I am looking for information on Richard Manly Haskins, born in Highgate, Vt. about 1821 and died in Saranac about 1876. I am not sure when he came to NY, but I ahve him in the 1850 census living in the Town of Saranac, Clinton County, NY. He married Asenath Miriam Whitehead (born 11 Sept. 1821 in West Bolton, Brome, Quebec, Canada)on 12 Sept 1842. They had at least 8 children. In the 1870 census, he is married to Laura?. I do not know who Richard's parents or brothers and sisters are, perhaps you can help me. Richard is my husband's great great grandfather. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
