I have a. Elizabeth Harvin Taylor born in Adelaide, South Australia in 1862.

I am trying to establish her father (James) and his brother or cousin (John). Both born in the 1820's.

A Taylor must have married a Harvin at some stage for that name to flow through. Presuming that James (the father) was born in 1824 then both of his parents (including the Harvin?) would have been born between, say, 1785 and 1805.

James Taylor was said to have been born in England but The Orkneys & Scotland are possibilities.

Any assistance would be appreciated.
