I'm trying to locate information on my Grandfather Elliot Beaumont Harris, Jr. he was born 27 Aug 1904 in California. He died 23 Jul 1985 in Riverside California. He married my Grandmother, Mildred B Morris. I've located him on the Sacto, CA Voter records up to 1940. Then that's when it stops. His Father Beaumont and mother Mary Josephine Nagel are listed in the Sacto Voters records up to 1941. My Grandmother Mildred B. Morris married Elliot B Harris sometime after my father Louis M. Haines was born. My father took the name Harris when he was 21. Therefore all his information from that moment became known as Louis M Harris.

Married Mildred Beatrice Morris around 1942, possibly San Diego, CA.
Children: I remember having an Uncle Possibly Donald and an Aunt Possibly Shirley.

Elliot Jr. Mother: Mary Josephine Maria Nagel b. 3 Feb 1879 Oakland, Calif.
Elliot Sr. Father Beaumont Harris b. Mar 1842 Tennessee.
Elliot Sr. Mother Annie Martin b. Jan 1850 Missouri

I can't seem to get past Beaumont. My understanding is they came from North Carolina. On the 1852 Census Beaumont is listed with his mother only shown as EA Harris.
